How do I let a website through that I know is safe?
If you're on the amber warning screen for that site, there may be a one-click option — it's hidden if Maximum Protection or the Lock is on. Otherwise, you can manage it from Settings.
On the amber "This site looks unusual" screen
Click "I trust this site — don't ask me again." Scam SafeGuard will never check this site again.
If you don't see this option, it's been switched off for this device. That's either because protection is set to Maximum Protection, or because someone has turned on the Lock. Either one on its own hides it.
While that's the case, nobody can permanently trust a site — not even the person who set the device up.
You can still use "Continue just this once" on the amber screen.
If a site you use often keeps being flagged, open Settings and try lowering your protection level. If it asks for a PIN you don't have, someone else set up this device — ask them for help.
Afterwards — checking or undoing it
- Click the shield icon in the Chrome toolbar, then open Settings.
- Find the "Trusted sites" section — it lists every site you've marked as trusted.
- To undo it, click "Remove" next to the site. It will be checked normally again from then on.
A red screen never offers this option
You cannot mark a site as permanently trusted from a red "This site is dangerous" screen — not with the Lock off, not with it on, for anyone. This is deliberate: a red screen means Scam SafeGuard believes the site matches a known dangerous pattern, and permanently trusting a site like that would mean never being warned about it again, even if it later gets used in a real scam. If you believe a red screen is wrong, see "A website is blocked and I think that's wrong" instead.
