Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription yourself, starting from your Paddle receipt email — it takes a few clicks and a quick email verification, or you can email us and we'll do it for you. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period, and if you're within 30 days of purchase you can request our voluntary full refund — in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. A legitimate site is being blocked. How do I fix it?
If you're sure a site is fine, we'd like to hear about it. Email us at [email protected] with the subject "False positive report" and the website's address. You may also be able to tell Scam SafeGuard to trust the site yourself. On an amber warning, look for "Mark as safe" (on the report page, the toolbar popup or a notification) or "I trust this site — don't ask me again" (on the full "This site looks unusual" screen). Either one stops Scam SafeGuard checking that exact website on this device — even if it later turns out to be unsafe — until you remove it from "Trusted sites" in Settings. A red "Dangerous" warning has no trust button. To tell us it's wrong, open the report ("View full report", "View Report" or "See full report") and select "This looks wrong — let us know." Depending on your settings, some of these options may not appear. Thank you — it helps us get it right.
How do I install it on my parent's computer?
Open Chrome on their computer, go to scamsafeguard.com, and click "Add to Chrome." It takes about 60 seconds, including one welcome screen to confirm. After that it's working — they don't need to do anything to stay protected.
Does it work on mobile?
The Chrome extension works on desktop and laptop computers (Windows and Mac). A mobile version is on the roadmap. In the meantime, you can use the "Check a Message" feature on desktop to scan any suspicious link you've received on your phone.
I found a security issue. How do I report it?
Please email [email protected] with the subject "Security disclosure." We take all reports seriously and aim to respond within two business days. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will credit researchers who find genuine issues.
