Warnings and blocked sites

What does the red "This site is dangerous" screen mean?

It means Scam SafeGuard believes this website is dangerous — for example, it may match a known scam site. Depending on your settings, you may be able to continue after an extra confirmation step, or there may be no option to continue at all.

  1. Read the short plain-English line under the heading — it explains the main reason.
  2. If you want more detail, tap "Why we flagged this" to see the full list of reasons.
  3. "Go back to safety" is always shown, and is the safest choice.
  4. Depending on your settings, you may also see "I understand the risk — continue anyway". If you tap it, you'll be asked to confirm before you can go through. If your protection is set to Maximum Protection, or if a caregiver has turned on the Lock on this device, this option won't appear at all — there's no way past a red screen in that case, by design.

There is never a "trust this site forever" option on a red screen, for anyone, under any setting. If you believe a red screen is wrong, see "A website is blocked and I think that's wrong".

Did this fix it?

  • Yes, that answers my question.
  • I still need a hand — contact support and tell us what the screen said.
