How do I change or remove a Trusted Contact?

You can remove a Trusted Contact at any time from Settings — there's no need to ask them first.

1. Click the shield icon in your Chrome toolbar, then open Settings.
2. Find the "Trusted Contact" section. It will show either "Waiting for [email] to confirm" or the active, confirmed contact.
3. If you're waiting on a confirmation and want to cancel it, click "Cancel invitation."
4. If a contact is already active and you want to remove them, click "Remove trusted contact."
5. To use a different email address instead, remove the current one first, then set up a new Trusted Contact with the new email — see "Setting up a Trusted Contact".

Removing a Trusted Contact stops their weekly summary straight away. They won't receive anything further.

You can do this even if your Premium or Family subscription has since ended — removing an existing Trusted Contact is never locked behind your plan, only setting up a new one is (see "Setting up a Trusted Contact").
