The shield isn't showing up — how do I fix it?
This is almost always one of three things: the extension isn't pinned, Chrome needs a restart, or you're in the wrong Chrome profile.
- Check the puzzle-piece icon at the top-right of Chrome — if Scam SafeGuard is listed there, it's installed, just not pinned. See "How to pin the shield" to fix that.
- If it's not in the puzzle-piece list at all, restart Chrome completely (see "How to restart Chrome") and check again.
- If it's still missing, check you're in the right Chrome profile (see "Chrome profile problems") — extensions are installed per profile, not per computer.
- If none of that works, go to scamsafeguard.com and reinstall it (see "How to install Scam SafeGuard on Chrome").
